Q. How can I receive an application form?

Q. What kind of degree is requested to qualify for admission?
A. The admission requires a qualified university degree after a regular study course of at least three years. All graduations have to be obtained in architecture. Proofing the achievement of 180 credits according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) in a regular course in architecture of 3 years is sufficient for admission to the course too.

Q. How do I apply?
A. Applicants for Master of Architecture Course must submit a completed application form, authenticated translated copy of Baccalaureate or Diploma Degree, Curriculum vitae/resumé with photo, letters of recommendation and a portfolio of one’s own work examples.

Q. Is there an application fee and how should I pay it?
A. There is a no application fee. There is a tuition fee of 500,- EUR per semester.

Q. Where do I send my application?

Q. What is the application deadline?
A. Applications must be received by June 15, 2010.

Q. When does the course start?
A. The course starts October 1st, 2010. You Should arrive 1 week prior to that in order to accomplish all administrative duties.

Q. What happens once I have applied?
A. An admission committee reviews all applications and makes the final selection competitively on the basis of academic merit. Notification of admission is then made by July 30th of each year at the latest.

Q. How do I find accomodation?
A. You can fill in the supplied application form for student housing and send it in with you application.

Q. What do I receive at the end of the program?
A. On completion of the master's course, students will be awarded a degree 'Master of Architecture' (MArch) that has EU-wide recognition. The degree will be issued by Anhalt University of Applied Sciences of which DIA is an integral part.

Q. I am an international student. Will I need a financial statement?
A. Along with your visa application documents you are also requested to submit a Financial Statement.
Students are required to have sufficient financial means, so as to be able to support their stay here in Germany .
These costs are estimated to be approx. 600,- to 800.- EUR per month of stay.

Q. English is not my first language. Do I have to take an English Proficiency test prior to entering the program?
A. Anhalt University of Applied Sciences does require English Proficiency Test Scores (TOEFL / IELTS / Cambridge Exam). The language of instruction is English and a good command of written and spoken English is crucial to conduct coursework.
